Abstract—We study how the composition of dolomite changes in its reaction with 0.1 N solutions of H2SO4 ,
FeSO4 , CuSO4 , and ZnSO4 , using X-ray diffraction and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The MgCO3 con-
centration in the mineral decreases; the maximal decrease is observed in the reaction of dolomite with aqueous
sulfuric acid.
