Abstract—The subsolidus interaction of the components in the M2O–BaO–V2O5 (M = Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs) sys-
tems is studied. Seven double vanadates are discovered. Of them, five are synthesized for the first time:
M3Ba(VO3)5 for M = K, Rb, or Cs and MBaVO4 for M = Rb or Cs. The structural parameters of these com-
pounds are determined.
