Abstract—The thermodynamic characteristics of pyridine coordination by water-soluble metal phthalocya-
nines in borate-buffered solution at 298.15 K were determined using calorimetric titration. Correlations were
found between the coordination ability of a metal phthalocyanine, on one hand, and the nature of the central
metal ion and the number, nature, and position of peripheral functional substituents, on the other.
