Abstract—The compounds MII(NO3)2 · 2(HCONH2) · 2H2O, where MII = Cu (I), Cd (II), Co (III), and
Mn(IV), were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. For the two latter compounds, only the
unit cell parameters and space group were determined. The crystals of the compounds are isostructural, orthor-
hombic, space group P2(1)2(1)2(1); Z = 4; MoK radiation; for I, a = 7.013(6) Å, b = 7.966(3) Å, c =
17.574(5)Å, V = 981.8(9) Å3 , calc = 2.122 g/cm3; for II, a = 7.446(1) Å, b = 8.252(1) Å, c = 17.542(2) Å, V=
1077.8(2) Å3 , calc = 2.222 g/cm3; for III, a = 7.196(1) Å, b = 7.976(1) Å, c = 17.422(5) Å, V = 1000.0(3) Å3;
for IV, a = 7.342(2) Å, b = 8.102(2) Å, c = 17.549(4) Å, V = 1044.0(4) Å3. The compounds are promising stim-
ulators for plant growth.
