Abstract—Platinum(II) extraction by N,N'-dipentylethylenediamine-N'-thiocarbaldehyde from 0.1 M HCl
into chloroform and toluene diluents was studied at 25°C and a phase contact time of 5 min. The extraction had
a coordination mechanism with a Pt frame0 S bond formed in the extracted complex PtCl2S2. Concentration con-
stants and thermodynamic parameters of the extraction reaction were calculated.
