and Y) Systems and the Melting Character
of Ternary Compounds

Abstract—Li₂O-Ln₂O₃-B₂O₃ (Ln = Nd, Eu, Dy, Yb, and Y) ternary systems were studied along their inner sec-
tions. Two types of ternary compounds were found: Li₃Ln₂(BO₃)₃ (Ln = Nd, Eu, Dy, and Yb) and Li₆Ln(BO₃)₃
(Ln = Dy and Yb). The systems were triangulated. Melts were chosen for growing single crystals of ternary
compounds in multinary systems.
