AbstractOn the basis of materials obtained by 13 complex surveys, the peculiarities of distribution of fin-
gerlings of Pleurogrammus azonus in the epipelagial zone of the deep-sea regions of the Sea of Okhotsk, as
well as of feeding and winter migrations, are considered. The data on the numbers of fingerlings and their bio-
logical state are given. The fry feeding period in the pelagial zone of the Sea of Okhotsk lasts up to nine months.
During this time the fish under study attained 2024 cm in length. The growth rate in the summer 1993 was
0.7% in length and 2.3% in mass. In the 90s a tendency towards an increase in the numbers of fingerlings of
Pleurogrammus azonus in the Sea of Okhotsk was noted.
