Pharmaceutical Waste as a Global Environmental Problem

Abstract— The article considers environmental pollution caused by pharmaceutical waste in many countries as a new global environmental problem. A statistically significant correlation has been revealed between the maximum permissible concentration of harmful substances in fishery waters (MPC_fw) and the average lethal concentrations for daphnia. MPC_fw values were calculated for twelve pharmaceuticals.
