Abstract— The base-catalyzed hydroamination reaction of teramethyl ethynyldiphosphonate with substituted 2-aminopyridines was studied. The reaction proceeds stereoselectively with the formation of (E)-enaminophosphonates. A series of new phosphonoenamines, namely dimethyl [2-(dimethoxyphosphoryl)-2-(pyridin-2-ylamino)vinyl]phosphonates, was obtained.
