Abstract—The behavior of tin difluoride in the eutectic mixture (Cs–K–Na)Cl is studied by linear voltammetry
and chronopotentiometry at a temperature of 800 K. Both the discharge process Sn(II) + 2e frame0 Sn(0) and the
recharge reaction Sn(II) frame1 2e frame2 Sn(IV) are found to be complicated by side effects. These effects involve
redistribution of anions of the first coordination sphere under a diffusion–kinetic control of the electrochemical
stage proper.
