AbstractThe place of high-temperature electrochemical synthesis among other methods of boride produc-
tion is considered. Various electrosynthesis techniques are discussed, along with their advantages and draw-
backs. The electrode processes and the structure of cathodic deposits obtained in the boride syntheses are con-
sidered. A conclusion is drawn that the electrochemical synthesis is promising in manufacturing single crystals,
plating complex-configuration workpieces, and producing disperse boride powders of high purity. Directions
for further research are suggested.
