Abstract—Three blocks, i.e., aquatic, amphibial, and fluctuational, of the Caspian littoral ecotone within the
limits of Terek-Kuma Lowland have been allocated and characterized. The blocks differentiate in space and
time and represent complete formation; it is emphasized by specific saturation at a level of modern structure
and previous area genetic connections. The aquatic block is considered in detail. A comparison with flora of the
North Black Sea and the littoral ecotones of the North Azov Sea is carried out.
