Abstract—Investigation into the population of corsac fox in Dagestan enabled us to identify the animal’s dis-
tribution, habitat, home ranges, forage base, and population size dynamics. A significant correlation has been
established between the population size of corsac fox, annual precipitation, and the number of grazing live-
stock. Limiting factors that determine the population status of the corsac fox are studied.
