Effect of Model Oil Pollution on Biological Properties of Soils
of Dry Steppes and Semi-Deserts of Southern Russia

Abstract—The oil contamination of soils of dry steppes and semi-deserts of Southern Russia deteriorates their
biological properties. According to the degree of this deterioration, soils can be arranged in the following series:
dark chestnut > chestnut > brown semi-desert light chestnut > brown semi-desert sandy > hydromorphic sor.
