AbstractThe authors studied seed germination and seedling growth characteristics (Phaseolus vulgaris L.,
Helianthus annuus L., Zea mays L., Triticum vulgare L., Albizzia julibrissin Durazz., Gleditschia triacanthos
L.) under the influence of drilling fluids and copper sulfate. They determined the coefficients of variation, indi-
ces of stability and toxicity, as well as tolerance to stresses of growth processes in the early stages of ontogeny.
Keywords: stress, ontogeny, germination, stability, phytotoxicity, copper sulfate, drilling mud
