Abstract—The problems of stability of technogenic landscapes (dumps of overburden rocks) of different ages
of formation in the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly (KMA) are discussed. Abiotic factors (physicochemical charac-
ters of the rocks and time of dumping) were found to be the most important indices of biopedocenosis formation
on dump surfaces. A shortened profile of gray forest soil is formed on loam dumps over 25 years, and flood-
plain soil is formed of Callovian clays. An integrated index of the ecological state of biopedocenoss is suggested
on the basis of studied characters.
