Abstract—Changes in the parameters of model populations (ecological forms) of three cladoceran species (the
genera Daphnia and Simocephalus) were studied in laboratory experiments with paired mixed cultures. The
results demonstrated the effect of poisoning on the functional state of experimental animals in mixed cultures.
It is proposed to use the observed effect as a biotic functional load in studies related to the control of anthropo-
genic load on freshwater biocenoses.
