Abstract—Dust pollution of the components of birch phytocenoses growing in the impact zone of limestone
quarries and a cement plant was assessed. Summer and winter levels of limestone and cement dust pollution in
herbaceous birch forests were determined experimentally, and the pH of snowmelt and washes from the surface
of plants was measured.
