Abstract—The composition and proportions of rodent species in the Northern Urals, their distribution over
altitudinal belts, and certain distinctive features in comparison with those of Pre-Polar regions lying further
northward Urals are considered. Attention is focused on the structure of communities in the vicinity of the Den-
ezhkin Kamen’ mountain massif and its changes with time and along the landscape–biotopic profile, from the
goltsy to floodplain habitats. Specific features revealed in the temporal and altitudinal variation of certain struc-
tural parameters are discussed.
