Abstract—General biological issues related to the formation and functioning of aquatic invertebrate consortia
around Dreissena or Dreissena + Anodonta mollusks in shallow areas of an artificial eutrophic lake are consid-
ered. The environment-forming role of Dreissena in assembling the groups of companion (consort) species is
shown.
