Abstract—The types of quartz textures found in a large collection of multiphase rocks from different regions
of the earth are analyzed. Crystallographic textures of granulite, amphibolite, slate, and gneiss samples are mea-
sured, classified, and compared with the similar textures of monomineral rocks.
