Abstract—The dispersive properties of a coaxial waveguide with the slotted inner conductor are investigated.
Convenient calculation formulas are obtained for the fundamental cable mode, and the region of their utility is
assessed. A system of one-dimensional (1D) integral equations involved in the analysis of the E and H waves
in a waveguide with arbitrary periodic corrugations on both the outer and inner conductors is derived. It is
shown that, in a hollow waveguide containing small well conducting bodies, arbitrarily narrow passbands may
exist at frequencies below the critical value.
