in the Theory of Nucleation

Abstract—An equation for the probability of the number of nuclei of a definite size in a vapor–gas system was
derived within the framework of the basic notions of the classical theory of nucleation. It was established that
the Poisson distribution is the equilibrium and stationary solution of this equation. The relaxation properties of
the equation were studied.
