Abstract—The method of capillary waves was employed to study the kinetics of adsorption of normal alcohols
at the aqueous solution–air interface. Comparison of the theoretical dependences of the damping coefficient of
capillary waves on concentration with experimental data indicates the absence of an adsorption barrier for pro-
pyl, butyl, amyl, and hexyl alcohols.
