AbstractEquations of capillary penetration were analyzed by asymptotic methods with allowance made for
diffusion transfer of matter in the presence of dead-end pores. To describe different stages of the process, prin-
cipal expansions of the solution were obtained. Such an approach made it possible to confirm and improve the
earlier results and to further refine the solution of the penetration problem.
