Structure and Mechanical Destruction of Coal

Abstract—Parameters characterizing the structural strength K_sl and physical strength K_ms of coal are proposed.
These parameters are suitable for estimating the change in state of the coal under the mechanical action of exter-
nal forces. Their ratio permits ongoing determination of the mechanical destruction K_md of genetically inhomo-
geneous coals characterized by different degrees of oxidation.
