Modifying the Hydraulic Drive for a Pumping Station

Abstract— Attention focuses on the selection of a hydraulic drive system and the use of hydraulic drive and hydraulic automation components for machinery: the electric depletion furnace; and the locomotive–quenching car system used in opening and closing the car’s aprons for coke discharge. The goal is to determine the best design for the hydraulic system in the pumping unit in order to ensure efficient operation of the coke plant’s machinery. The components of a pumping unit with a circulation pump are presented, as well as the hydraulic automation components for operation of the circulation pump. Efficient operation of the whole system is possible when using up-to-date cooling systems and hydraulic automation components in the circulation pump system. In particular, up-to-date hydraulic drive systems and hydraulic automation components ensure uniform coke discharge to the ramp.
